Stevie and I left the room at 6:15 to get a head start on the twisty, one-lane, beautiful Road to Hana. We knew we were going to want to take our time....hey we are on vacation.....stop often, and yet be ahead of the crowd. So we started out early with our top down in the jeep and spent the day doing all of those things. We only felt bad for those who felt that this outing was a race. Some people seemed to be in a hurry to get to the end and I'm not really sure they got to see and experience all of God's beauty that was in between the beginning and the end.
Here are some of the beautiful things we saw....
Ke'anae Peninsula
Upper Waikani Falls
Our Picnic Lunch Spot Nahiku Road
Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach
Hana Red Sand Beach
Ohe'o Gulch
Charles Lindberg Grave

I am loving the looks of all that green! Drove through a blizzard yesterday to get to Morgantown! Worst snow I drove in all winter long, but by the time we came back the roads were clear! Love spring snowstorms. Might be about ready for green to come back now, though. Supposed to be in the 50s today!
ReplyDeleteHope your sunrise was amazing. Love you.
I think I needed a jeep today to carry all your mail, parcels and UPS deliveries. Seriously, how does one person get that much mail? I really think that's why you go on so many trips, just to get away from all that mail!
ReplyDeleteDonna....I know I am ready for spring when I get home. I am so over winter. Mark...sorry about the mail. I know I had two backorders but they should have been small. I have no idea what else it was. Except all my magazines. That is as good of a reason as any to travel...right?
